Welcome to my first blog post! I am excited to be launching my blog in general, and even more excited to be writing my first blog post! I am Celine Alam, artist and owner of Celine Alam Art. I have been eager to launch my online store for about three years now. Art is a passion I’ve rediscovered in the recent years, and my art blog is something I’ve been wanting to do for some time now. For my first blog post I wanted to introduce myself a bit more and set the tone and expectations of my blog.
Who is Celine Alam? A little about me
I was born and raised in a beautiful Middle Eastern country overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, called Lebanon, which I’ve called home for most my life. I began drawing at the young age of 11, before enrolling in an art academy, to further enhance my art skills. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design in 2019, and kick starting my career, I rediscovered my passion for art, after nearly a decade.
It was a September day in 2019, as I was commuting back home from work, I decided to pass by an art supply store to buy a canvas and some paint. Since then, I started painting again! What started as a hobby to fill my spare time and disconnect, gradually became a career I wanted to pursue. However, at the time, my journey was vague, and I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do in my life. It took me a bit more than a year to realize my dream; a dream to create and inspire. The moment I made a decision to pursue my dreams, was the moment everything began to shift; suddenly, new doors opened, opportunities started flowing in, and I was constantly contacted by galleries from all over the world. As my favorite saying goes: “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”
Why I’ve decided to start a blog?
After years of navigating through this journey, and after some uncertainty, failures and disappointments, I’ve come to realize that everything is a learning curve. Not every negative situation is meant to keep you from your goals, but rather to help you realize them. Moreover, every situation I encountered, taught me lessons I wish I had known before. Every uncertain time, confusion and question I had, helped me pave my way and find the right answers. For that reason, I decided to launch my blog, in order to help as many artists and inspire as many people to follow their dreams. As I continue to navigate through my art career, I hope to encourage, and inspire artists no matter their age, or what stage they are in their career; and to share my knowledge, insights and lessons, in hopes of helping them achieve their goals.
What my blog is all about?
For this specific blog post I wanted to give you a glimpse of who I am, why I decided to start blogging and what to expect in my future blog posts! I will be sharing some lessons I’ve learned and some knowledge I’ve gained throughout my career; in addition to some tips and how-to posts. My purpose from this site is for all of my readers to find inspiration be it from my art or my blog, and some useful advice, and relatable content as artists. I hope I’ll be able to motivate my readers to be fearless in the pursuit of their dreams, and to stand tall through every struggle and discouragement.
